كَلِمَتَانِ خَفِيفَتَانِ عَلَى اللِّسَانِ ثَقِيلَتَانِ فِي الْمِيزَانِ حَبِيبَتَانِ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ
“Two words which are light on the tongue, heavy on the Scale, and beloved to the Most Merciful: SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi, SubhanAllahi al-'Adheem.”
The Prophet ﷺ specifically paired Allah's magnificence with glorification, showing how remembering His greatness elevates our deeds.
Scholarly Insights
Al-'Adheem is the One possessing absolute greatness in His essence, attributes, and actions. Nothing in creation can be compared to His magnificence.
The greatness of Allah (Al-'Adheem) is beyond what hearts can conceive or minds can encompass. Everything in creation, no matter how vast, is insignificant before His magnificence.
