Prophetic Traditions
الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ
“The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, and in each there is good.”
The Prophet ﷺ encouraged believers to be strong in faith and action, reflecting the attribute of Al-Qawiyy.
Scholarly Insights
Allah's strength is absolute and unlike created strength. His strength never diminishes, never tires, and is never overcome. He combines perfect strength with perfect wisdom, so His strength is never misused.
Al-Qawiyy is the One whose strength is complete and perfect, who empowers His believing servants and supports them against their enemies, despite the believers being fewer in number.
Supplications
لا حَوْلَ وَلا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
“There is no power and no strength except with Allah.”
