At-Tawwab
The Accepter of Repentance
Prophetic Traditions
“Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than one of you who finds his lost camel in a barren desert.”
This powerful analogy shows how much At-Tawwab loves and eagerly accepts the repentance of His servants.
“Indeed Allah extends His Hand at night so that the sinner of the day may repent, and extends His Hand during the day so that the sinner of the night may repent.”
At-Tawwab continuously invites His servants to repent—His door is always open, day and night.
Scholarly Insights
At-Tawwab's acceptance of repentance has three stages: He inspires the servant to repent, He accepts the repentance when it is made, and He then turns to the servant with mercy and forgiveness. He is At-Tawwab at every stage.
